IT Support Contracts

Avec Solutions offers its clients a choice of two types of IT support contracts:

  • Monthly contract at a fixed base price with a range of included services, with additional support time charged at a discounted contract rate
  • Pay-as-you-go packages of support hours to use as needed, prepaid at discounted contract rate

Monthly Contract Support

The monthly support contract consists of a fixed monthly base price starting from just £120, with a list of bundled services, and all other maintenance and support hours calculated and charged monthly.

The following services are provided for the fixed monthly base price without any hourly support cost:

  • Basic proactive remote server maintenance including server service packs and regular security and spam filtering updates for Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X servers and related applications
  • Remote monitoring of internet connections, site-to-site virtual private networks (VPNs), mail servers, backup systems (requires BackupAssist or equivalent software), antivirus systems (requires AVG network edition or equivalent software)
  • Annual visit to client site(s) with audit of IT systems and costed recommendations report
  • Advice for all IT systems hardware and software purchases, including sourcing quotations from different suppliers where required by funders
  • Dealing with hardware warranty issues for all equipment purchased through Avec Solutions
  • Basic IT systems advice by phone or email (excludes more involved or detailed consultancy work)

Pay-As-You-Go Contract Support

Choose a package of prepaid discounted contract support hours (starting from just 5 hours). All maintenance and support work is tracked using ticketing system and calculated on an hourly basis. You will receive a monthly statement issued itemising support time usage and showing your current balance. Unused hours do not expire, and when your balance reaches zero, the chosen package will be automatically renewed and invoiced to ensure contract benefits continue.

Non-Contract Support

It is also possible to purchase support on an ad hoc basis at our full hourly support rate, but without the benefits that contract clients enjoy.
